Koogler Middle School celebrated student creativity and expression last week during its annual Poetry Slam event. The competition featured original works written and performed by students, who advanced through several rounds before reaching the finals.
The final round was held on Friday, April 4, 2025, where students performed their poems in front of a live audience. A panel of judges scored each contestant on a scale of 1 to 5, evaluating both content and delivery. The event highlighted the talent, courage, and passion of Koogler’s young poets.
The top five finalists were:

3rd Place: Charis Robison
4th Place: MiaBella Fierro (Not Pictured)
5th Place: Danny Cox
