The Aztec High School community continues to celebrate the incredible success of our State Championship Wrestling Team. This week, the team received a special honor from U.S. Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernández, who sent a formal letter congratulating the athletes and coaches on their remarkable season.
In her letter, Congresswoman Leger Fernández praised the dedication, perseverance, and teamwork that led the Tigers to a state title. Her words reflect the pride felt not only in Aztec, but across the region, for the accomplishments of these outstanding student-athletes.
“I couldn’t agree more that this is an exceptional program. I’m so proud of Coach Stout, the rest of the coaching staff, and the team. Tremendous work this year! Couldn’t be more proud to have you all in Aztec!”

This recognition adds another layer of distinction to a season already filled with unforgettable moments. Congratulations once again to our wrestlers, coaches, and supporters for representing Aztec with pride and excellence.
