Cadin Anderson

Aztec High School junior Cadin Anderson made history on Saturday at John Gutierrez Field, throwing a PERFECT GAME in a clutch 1-0 victory over district powerhouse Bloomfield! 💥⚾️

Anderson struck out 15 batters in 7 flawless innings—becoming just the 15th player in New Mexico history to achieve a perfect game, and only the second in Class 4A. 🙌

Backed by a clean defense and a gritty team effort, Aztec’s only run came in the top of the 6th thanks to heads-up base running by Kale Watson and a key moment from Cory Douglas. One run was all Anderson needed to shut the door on Bloomfield’s explosive lineup, which came into the game batting .405 in district play!

Aztec is now 5-2 in District 1-4A and ready to finish the regular season strong with three straight home games. Let’s pack Fred Cook Stadium this Tuesday at 6 p.m. as the Tigers take on Gallup!

Way to go, Cadin and crew—this is what TIGER PRIDE looks like!
